Delete your account and data

Last updated: August 5, 2026

This page explains how to delete your account in the OrO app, developed by Emanoel, and what happens to your data after deletion.

How to delete your account from the app

Account deletion is performed directly in OrO while you are signed in. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the OrO app on your device.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Account.
  4. Tap Delete account.
  5. Confirm the deletion on the next screen. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

If you can't access the app (for example, you lost access to the email tied to the account), email support@myoro.app to request deletion. To confirm your identity, send the message from the email address associated with the account.

If you never created an account

OrO also works locally, without signing in. If you never created an account, none of your data was sent to our servers. Uninstalling the app removes all local data on your device (projects, tasks, focus history, and preferences).

Data that is deleted

When you request account deletion, we remove from our databases:

  • Account information: name, email, profile photo, and unique user identifier (Firebase Authentication);
  • Content you created: projects, tasks, timer session history, and focus statistics (Cloud Firestore);
  • Your preferences and settings synced to the cloud.

Removal happens within a reasonable period, typically up to 90 days, including copies held in backups.

Data that may be retained temporarily

Some data is not directly tied to your account and is kept for the default retention periods of the providers we use, as described in our Privacy Policy:

  • Usage and analytics data (Firebase Analytics and PostHog): retained for up to 14 months.
  • Crash and diagnostics reports (Firebase Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring): retained for around 90 days.
  • Records required by law (for example, to meet tax obligations or respond to legal requests): retained for the minimum period required by applicable law.

These records do not, on their own, allow us to identify you after your account has been deleted.
